It was hard to get started and to ask people’s involvement in my
circle of support. But it was worth it in many ways.
Just last Sunday I went with two of my friends from my group to
hear Southern Rail. It was a two hour concert of bluegrass gospel.
What I appreciate about PALS is that I had a choice of who to
ask to be part of my group. I appreciate those who have stayed over the months
since the beginning. It has meant a lot more social networking of doing things
with others.
Last year I was blessed to have had a person from my network
that was in constant contact with me by phone and/or had lunch with me once a
week for a couple of months.
